The police chief of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) hit back at the Commission on Elections for its ultimatum for him to arrest former Maguindanao poll supervisor Lintang Bedol. Radio dzBB reported Wednesday that ARMM police director Chief Supt. Joel Goltiao said the Comelec may have gotten the wrong address for Bedol, whom he said is based in Region 12. Citing information reaching him, Goltiao said Bedol is presently based in Cotabato, which he said is outside the jurisdiction of ARMM. He said he could not understand why the Comelec picked on him in venting its frustration over police’s failure to arrest Bedol.
