No need to trim budget, says solon

MANILA, Philippines—The chair of the House budget committee on Saturday defended the proposed P1.415-trillion national budget for 2009 from the opposition’s call to slash P200 billion from it to help the country weather the fallout of the financial crisis in the United States.
